For many, the ability to walk, talk, or see are common things that are taken for granted. This is not the case for some creatures who do not possess these abilities and rejoice greatly when they achieve them for the first time. On this occasion, a little kitten has filled us with joy with all the enthusiasm it showed when it managed to walk for the first time.
This orange kitten named Rubbix had never walked on all four paws. Rubbix is a rescued kitten living in the Chatons Orphelins Montréal shelter in Canada. When he arrived, he wasn’t alone, as his brother named Boo was by his side.
Unlike Boo, Rubbix wasn’t as healthy as he seemed because he had a problem with his paws that prevented him from walking properly.
The kitten was born with twisted paws, which made him move clumsily. Although it may seem trivial, the kitten’s problem was serious and worried his rescuers. From the first day he was rescued, Rubbix showed himself to be an adventurous feline, and despite his limitations, he’s always ready to play. Embracing and cuddling different objects is the fetish of this mischievous kitten.
Despite his appearance indicating otherwise. Moved by the situation of his paws, the shelter took Rubbix to an orthopedist who could provide an accurate diagnosis of his condition.
Everything will be fine with this little one. The doctor determined that the kitten needed surgery to ensure a better quality of life, and so they did. This kitten is a warrior, and just 24 hours after his surgery, he was already standing proudly, walking correctly around the room.
The danger has passed, and now it’s just a matter of time before the feline fully recovers. Rubbix has been using external fixators in recent weeks, and his progress has been remarkable. If he didn’t stop to play before, now that he can do everything on all four paws, the little cat doesn’t plan to stop. We’re sure that the fun is just beginning for this little one and his brother, who are ready to find a loving home.
