In a television talk show, Robert Downey Jr. compared Taylor Swift to a poisonous spider that eats its partner after mating.
Recently, “Iron man” Robert Downey Jr. attended the Ellen Show to promote the movie “Dolittle” he participated in. Here, the actor gave a presentation, providing knowledge about some animals to illustrate his role in the film.
Accordingly, the actor surprised the audience when he compared country singer Taylor Swift to a poisonous spider that specializes in eating its partner after mating.

Immediately after seeing the audience’s reaction of laughter, the actor further explained that he did not mean that Taylor Swift was as cruel as this spider. “She just sits around writing songs about her ex,” Robert Downey Jr. humorously explained.
However, this explanation seems not enough for Taylor Swift’s fans. They think that the “Iron Man” actor is making fun of his idol.

Many fans of the country music singer called for a boycott of Robert Downey Jr. because of these jokes. However, many defenders said that the actor was just trying to create humor in the conversation.

Previously, he posted a photo of Taylor’s ex-lover, Tom Hiddleston, wearing a shirt with the words “I love TS” (meaning “I love Taylor Swift)” to welcome his colleague on social networks.
