Disrespectful treatment of animals exists in almost every aspect of our daily lives, although there are instances that add to anger and encourage even the most moderate to call out changes and fairer laws to protect them.
We live in a society where creatures are defenseless and do not deserve to be treated with violence, carelessness, lack of empathy and sometimes even entertainment. It’s scary to think that, at this point, some animals are being victims of some unhealthy human action.
A poor little dog was found lying on the side of the road, boneless and on the verge of death. His necklace got tangled in a tree branch, his body had many serious wounds and he was sentenced to wait for his sad end, until a hero appeared on his way. .
He had spent a long time prostrating himself in these difficult circumstances and his wounds were beginning to fill with worms, but just when it looked like the long-suffering little animal was going to give up, the staff deserved it. Feed Friends ‘ surprise arrived in time, Alex , one of his angels, helped him get released after receiving an emergency call.
“We don’t know how long he must have been trapped there, but from the desperate look in his eyes and the terrible shape he was in, we knew it must have been a while, but of course we weren’t going to leave him alone. The amazing team released him and we took him to the vet right away,” the man commented.
The manner and conditions in which the rescue was carried out marked Álex in such a way that he decided to name the puppy after him. After his new baptism, now Álex puppy began his recovery process .
“Alex was so tired, hungry and thirsty… He got dehydrated and had a nasty wormy wound. We knew that we would have to find him the best possible home so that he could have a good chance of recovering, ”said the rescuer.
Fortunately, his great fighting spirit helped him to get up little by little , to interact with other dogs and cats, and soon he began to look much better and more animated, after having lived for who knows how long in that traumatic condition .
Once he was healthy, after making new friends, beautiful friendships and regaining confidence, he began his journey towards a home full of love and affection that another or others denied him. Today he is a happy puppy and in love with his new adoptive family From him.
The more we know about non-human animals, the more doubts and uncertainties pile up when we revisit our comfortable, simplistic and false scheme of the world: what right do we humans have to dispose of the lives of other animals?
Don’t they have the right to live for themselves, without the need for the foolish determinism with which we judge and manage their lives? We are entering swampy terrain that will undoubtedly experience great changes in the coming years, when animal rights are seriously recognized and society and justice act accordingly.
